Restorative care includes dental treatments that help restore and maintain one's oral health. At Viewpoint Dentistry, our dentists specialize in restorations to correct aesthetic and functional problems in your mouth and ensure your long-term oral health.
Dental Crowns: A dental crown is a cap-like restorative device that is custom-made to fit over a damaged tooth. Crowns help to restore decayed, cracked, or weak teeth back to their original form, function, and strength. A crown also helps in improving a tooth's appearance when there is discoloration or a large filling present on a tooth's surface. A crown can be fabricated in our office out of porcelain or ceramic material to match the natural teeth, thereby helping to restore their appearance and function.
Dental Bridges: Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. They consist of two crowns placed on either side of the gap, with a prosthetic tooth attached between them. This allows us to keep the facial contour intact, thereby enhancing the appearance and confidence of patients who have lost one or more teeth. Bridges offer excellent strength and durability and are made from tooth-colored ceramic material, which makes them indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Dental Implants: Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth permanently. They consist of a titanium screw placed into the jawbone in place of the missing tooth. The bone fuses with the screw over time. A dental crown is then placed on top, which looks exactly like a natural tooth. Dental implants offer excellent strength and durability, making them an excellent choice for restoring missing teeth.
Inlays and Onlays: Inlays and onlays are restorations used to repair damage caused by tooth decay or injury and restore the teeth's shape and size. They are custom-fabricated from porcelain or ceramic to match the natural color of your teeth.
Fillings: When there is decay or loss of tooth structure but still enough tooth structure to support a filling, we place tooth-colored resin fillings, bonding them to the teeth to seal and restore function and esthetics.
